Australia's Sesquicentenary

Orange also played its part in celebrations as part of the wider Australian and global community. Between 13-19 February 1938 the townsfolk celebrated Australia’s sesqui-centenary a highlight of which was the display in Wade Park which featured 4,000 schoolchildren in various events and demonstrations.
