Caroline Clements was born c1814 in County Mayo, Ireland, to Robert Ross Brennan and Dorothy Clemmens. In 1832, at age 17, Caroline was charged with stealing a hat valued at 20/-, the property of her employer Samuel Eness. Caroline was described as being 4 feet 9 ¼ inches tall with a ruddy complexion, freckles, brown hair and light hazel eyes.

She was tried at the Old Bailey, London, found guilty and sentenced to the Colony of New South Wales for seven years. Caroline arrived via the ship Fanny 2 and was sent to the Female Factory at Bathurst. On 21 June 1833 she was granted permission to marry and, on 6 July 1833 married the convict Joseph Moulder at the Church of England, Bathurst.

Caroline was granted a Ticket of Leave on 8 April 1838. Between 1834 and 1856, Joseph and Caroline had ten children. They resided at Bloomfield House, Mudall, Wollaroi, Brotheroney, Wardry and Endsleigh House where she passed away on 2 January 1904, aged 94. Caroline is buried in the Old Church of England Section, Orange Cemetery with her husband.
