Frank Webb and his sister Charlotte, or ‘Chatty’ as she was more commonly known, were the fourth generation of the Carroll family descendants to live at Summer Hill near Orange.
Frank became a pioneer of the Australian National Field Days, an organisation he was involved with from its inception in 1952 until his sudden death in 1987. He was also a life member of the Orange Show Society and served with the Summer Hill Bushfire Brigade. In 1958 Frank married Thora Cantrill.
