Central West Libraries is a regional library service located on the Central Tablelands and Western Slopes of New South Wales. Established in 1958 the Library encompasses the Local Government areas of Orange, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra and Forbes. There are branches at Blayney, Canowindra, Cowra, Forbes, Manildra, Molong and Orange. The Library's support and administrative units are located in the Orange City Library building.

We cover an area of 15,348 square km and serve a population of 75,719. Of these 55% (41,952) are active members.

Since its inception the Library has been known by several different names. Originally known as the Orange Regional Library, in 1977 the name was changed to the Central Western Cooperative Public Library. In 2001 the name was again changed to the simpler Central West Libraries.
