Thomas Joseph Dalton 1820-1901

Thomas Dalton was born at Duntryleague, Ireland on 25 April 1820, the eldest son of James Dalton Snr and Ellen Ryan. He arrived in nsw from america in 1958 and joined his brother James Dalton Jnr in the business james had started in orange, hence the name dalton bros in 1861 he married elizabeth fahy in 1863 and they built and lived in knocklong in hill street. Thomas and elizabeth had 7 children. Elizabeth died in 1877 at 34 years of age. Thomas remarried in 1880, mary anne josephine ahern. they had no children. mary anne died in 1911.
