Mr Sullivan was a member of Orange City Council from 1978 to 1991 and again from 1995 to 1999. He served as Mayor of the City of Orange from 1983 to 1991.

Mr Sullivan was educated at [[De La Salle school]] in Orange. He worked as a psychiatric nurse at [[Bloomfield Hospital]] for 41 years. He was also a former president and secretary of the Orange branch of the NSW Nurses’ Association.

Mr Sullivan served on a number of boards including Central Tablelands County Council, the Orange Agricultural College and the Bathurst Orange Development Corporation.

He was a former president of both the Orange City Rugby Union club and the Orange CYMS Rugby League Club. In 2003 Mr Sullivan was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for services to Local Government and the Orange community.

Timothy John Sullivan Mayor of Orange 1983-1991

Mr Sullivan was a member of Orange City Council from 1978 to 1991 and again from 1995 to 1999. He served as Mayor of the City of Orange from 1983 to 1991.

Mr Sullivan was educated at De La Salle school in Orange. He worked as a psychiatric nurse at Bloomfield Hospital for 41 years. He was also a former president and secretary of the Orange branch of the NSW Nurses’ Association.
